The 2019 version of Little Women is the eighth film adaptation of the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott. I really enjoyed this coming-of-age film, mostly because of the genuine performances but also because these young women are so powerful, sensitive, smart and gentle. In an era of superheroes, galaxies and futuristic sci-fi films with special effects, this classic story reminds us of the power of good classic literature and simple characters. I read the original book a long time ago, so when I found out the movie was coming out, I was very excited. This adaptation is well done and touching.
