A cello playing robot features among the artworks on display at the Kunsthaus Zurich gallery in Switzerland, part of a solo exhibition by artist Olafur Eliasson called Symbiotic Seeing. The exhibit of spacial works ‘invite us to think about us, our perception and important issues of our time,' the artist says.

The cello music has been created in collaboration with Icelandic cellist-composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, who writes on her Facebook page: ‘I recently wrote a composition to accompany Olafur Eliasson's Symbiotic Seeing at the Kunsthaus Zurich. Here is the incredible Cello Playing Robot playing it live at the exhibition.'

The Kunsthaus Zurich is now closed due to coronavirus, but you can watch a video tour of the exhibition and hear the sounds produced by the robot cello by viewing this video:      PHOTO: Olafur Eliasson
