Ukulele phenomenon Jake Shimabukuro has brought a level of virtuosity to the ukulele that has rarely been seen and now has reached new creative heights on ‘Nashville Sessions.' Nashville Sessions, is an adventurous, multifaceted, engaging recording, and in Shimabukuro's gifted hands, the age-old Hawaiian instrument has become a medium for previously undreamed of levels of expressiveness and musicianship. "We approached the performance like a jazz trio record," he says, "but with a more progressive rock sound."  Jake says. The album includes Nashville session players, bassist Nolan Verner and drummer Evan Hutchings.

Jake was kind enough to sit down with Reverb and discuss his effects board and how he applies it to his ukulele.
