Emmy Award-winning pianist John Tesh will be performing at Norwalk's Wall Street Theater on Sept. 13 in an intimate evening, as he plays songs from his throughout his career, while recounting personal stories from his life featured in his memoir "Relentless: Discovering a Life of Persistence, Grit, and Faith." The show will feature mostly original music, including love songs. He's titled it "Songs and Stories from the Grand Piano," and it's a build-up to filming his eighth Public Broadcasting Service special. "It's performance art-type stuff," he told gazette.com. "The music is synchronized to video. ... There are stories about my trials and tribulations. It's a journey. We get the audience involved in what we do. It's a cross between ‘A Prairie Home Companion' and a worship service."

Tesh, who rose to fame on the syndicated TV news magazine "Entertainment Tonight," has six music Emmys, two Grammy nominations, three gold records, seven Public Television specials and eight million records sold.   Photo: Earl Gibson III
