A native of Minneapolis, 24-year-old pianist Kenny Broberg won the silver medal at the Fifteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition with performances that showed "an imaginative shaping of themes, revelation of inner voices, and an unfailing sense of momentum" (Texas Classical Review). Released digitally on Decca Gold, Cliburn Silver 2017 features a selection of Broberg's live solo performances from the competition, including Bach's Toccata in C Minor, BWV 911 and Barber's Sonata for Piano, Op.26. He will be performing recital and concerto tours across the United States.
