Blue Whales - Return of the Giants OMPS

Blue Whales 3D takes viewers on a journey of a lifetime to explore the world of the magnificent blue whale, a species rebounding from the brink of extinction. Following two scientific expeditions—one off the exotic Seychelles Islands, the other in Mexico's stunning Gulf of California—the film transforms our understanding of the largest animal ever to have lived.

From Academy Award-winning composer Steven Price comes the epic orchestral score to the IMAX film Blue Whales – Return of the Giants. Now playing on the biggest screens globally, the immersive, eye-opening documentary tells the inspirational story of the world’s biggest animals and their road to recovery after near extinction. Featured album opener “The Age of Giants” takes listeners on an emotional journey through the deep, building into a climax of sweeping orchestral strings and bold brass.

Steven Price is an Academy Award-winning composer. In 2014, his groundbreaking score for Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity garnered wins in the Best Original Score category for the Academy Awards, BAFTAs, and Critics’ Choice Awards, along with ASCAP’s first-ever Film Composer of the Year award. Other prominent film projects include Last Night In Soho, Baby Driver, and blockbuster hit Suicide Squad.

My Policeman - Amazon Original Soundtrack

Milan Records today releases MY POLICEMAN (AMAZON ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) with music by Academy Award- and Emmy-winning composer STEVEN PRICE. Available everywhere now, the album features music written by Price for the film starring Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, Gina McKee, Linus Roache, David Dawson and Rupert Everett. Price has crafted a delicately lyrical score that deftly follows the onscreen story, which centers on three individuals in coastal England caught up in the shifting tides of history, liberty and forgiveness over the course of 40 years. With thematic nods to the film’s oceanfront setting, Price’s soundscape perfectly captures the everchanging emotions at the heart of the story. My Policeman is now available in select theaters and available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Of the score, composer STEVEN PRICE says, “How does the music of our lives change as we grow old? What could forty years of unspoken regrets do to a musical theme??These were the questions that intrigued and consumed me after being introduced to the story of?My Policeman?by our movie’s wonderful director, Michael Grandage, early in 2021. In its exploration of the lives of three people both in their 1950s youth, and then as their older selves in the English coastal town of Peacehaven some four decades later, the project offered an inspiring canvas for a wonderful collaboration. Some pieces were written early on during the shoot and seemed to quickly fall into place, whilst others evolved more gradually throughout the process as we continually discovered more about both our characters and their environment, musical representations of the sound of the sea becoming a crucial element within the storytelling of the score.”

Archive

Milan Records announces the release of ARCHIVE (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) with music by Academy Award®-winning composer STEVEN PRICE (Gravity, Baby Driver, Suicide Squad).  Available everywhere now, the album features music written by Price for director Gavin Rothery's sci-fi film starring Theo James.  Vertical Entertainment will release Archive via virtual cinema, VOD and Digital on Friday, July 10.

Of the soundtrack, composer STEVEN PRICE says, "My favourite projects are the ones where the story leads me into new musical areas, and exploring the world of Archive, a movie where technology and humanity meet in a near future Kyoto, proved to be a brilliant challenge. I'd been looking for the opportunity to create a largely electronic score for the first time in a long while and the story of George Almore, his secretive AI project and the mysterious Archive let me do just that… The music follows the developments in George's work as it progresses, and as he gets closer to achieving his hopes and dreams it was a lot of fun to blur the lines between the electronic and organic, trying to find the sound of his creations. From the moment I read writer / director Gavin Rothery's ambitious script I wanted to be involved, and throughout the process he proved to be a great collaborator and true supporter of music. I'm looking forward to people experiencing the movie Gavin has created, and it was a real pleasure to be a part of it."
