The Mass

Supertrain Records is proud to present the premiere recording of Patrick Cassidy's The Mass for Choir & Organ. The album features one of the world's largest pipe organs housed at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. The sublime, passionate and emotional depth of The Mass creates space and empathy for the listener to sink into themselves as its complexities wash over them. In reimagining the traditional Catholic Mass text in the context of universal solace, Cassidy has created a work for the ages. Growing from the challenges of quarantine, it is perhaps the first major work in history to be recorded virtually, with each member of the choral group singing their individual part in isolation. A great human symbol of beauty sewn in a time of adversity.
