Deutsche Grammophon today unveils Iconic, a new album by genre-defying and multi-award-winning violinist David Garrett. Inspired by the legendary violinists whose dazzling showpieces and heart-melting melodies he fell in love with as a child, Garrett has recorded works by Bach, Dvorák, Gluck, Kreisler, Mendelssohn and Schumann, among many others. He is accompanied by his guitarist Franck van der Heijden – who also conducts the players of Orchestra The Prezent – as well as being joined in duet arrangements by his former teacher Itzhak Perlman, star tenor Andrea Bocelli, flautist Cocomi and trumpeter Till Brönner.

Iconic is available digitally and on both CD and vinyl (2 LPs). A deluxe CD version contains three bonus tracks, Paganini’s stunning Moto perpetuo among them, while the digital album features the additional bonus of Kreisler’s Schön Rosmarin. All the works are presented in brand-new arrangements for violin, guitar and orchestra realised by Franck van der Heijden and David Garrett.
