Jesse Cook:

The Rumba Foundation

If Jesse Cook was an actor instead of a Juno award winning guitarist, he'd be considered a method actor, someone who immerses himself completely in the world of the characters he portrays to deliver authentic performances cloaked in realism. For his eighth album, The Rumba Foundation, which will be released September 29th by E1 Music, the Canadian headed to Colombia equipped with his acoustic guitar, a few song sketches and a wide open mind.

One World

Jesse Cook is set to release his new, highly anticipated album ONE WORLD on Entertainment One Music (eOne Music) on April 28, 2015.  One World is the most sonically diverse and distinctive disc in Cook's vast and varied catalogue, which has earned 11 Juno nominations and one win for 2000's Free Fall. On these 11 instrumentals, programmed beats and dusty electronic textures are interwoven with syncopated handclaps, deep dubby basslines and popping percussion. The Blue Guitar Sessions

Jesse Cooke: The Blue Guitar Sessions is a captivating 14-track album recorded on a pair of vintage microphones in an effort to replicate the mood of recordings from the Miles Davis era. Sound is of the utmost importance to Jesse as a musician, producer and engineer.  This record is much different from the rumba flamenco for which he is best known.  Indeed, he has been a leading proponent of the genre since bursting onto the world music scene with 1995's Tempest. Several songs from The Blue Guitar Sessions are being featured in the hour long PBS Special JESSE COOK – LIVE IN CONCERT.  This special debuts Nationwide in September and runs on local PBS Stations through the end of the year.

Beyond Borders

"There are many borders in our lives. Some are built by others, some we create for ourselves. Whenever I have ventured beyond the borders in my life, I have been the better for it. Beauty, humanity, artistry, joy, wisdom, and of course love…these things don't stop at some line on a page. If music is the universal language, maybe there is something it can teach us?"…Jesse Cook Following on the heels of One World's critical and commercial success, Jesse Cook is ready to launch his new album Beyond Borders. This is the most sonically diverse and distinctive disc in Jesse Cook's vast and varied catalogue. This catalogue has earned Jesse 11 Juno nominations and one Juno win for 2000's Free Fall. Beyond Borders is an in depth musical journey exploring the exotic boundaries of World Music.
