Actress-singer-comedian Lea DeLaria is fulfilling a longtime dream in the town she considers the closest place she's had to home. The Club, a jazz nightclub/ bar she co-owns with Frank Christopher, owner of multiple nightclubs, and a silent partner, is due to open June 21 at the former Pied Bar location at 193A Commercial St. With an '80s-style vibe, pink-andblack color scheme and a large deck overlooking the harbor, the venue, DeLaria said, will offer what she and Christopher believe Provincetown hasn't had, but needs: "a nightclub ... a classier place to see a show." What she hopes will become a 10-months-a-year club offering jobs for locals and an offseason spot for Cape Codders will be somewhere that patrons can order food and drinks and watch a show. Elsewhere in Provincetown, she said, "it's always been you have to decide whether you want to watch a show or eat a meal. You could never do both at the same time."
