Rhapsody In Blue

In 2023, jazz pianist Luo Ning introduces his new album, "Rhapsody in Blue", a heartfelt expression of his initial passion and dedication to the world of jazz. Simultaneously, this release serves as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the legendary composer George Gershwin's masterpiece, "Rhapsody in Blue". The album will be released globally on 8th November, 2023 via Universal Music China/Decca Records.

"Rhapsody in Blue" is a concerto composed in 1924 by the prolific American composer and pianist George Gershwin (1898-1937) for piano and orchestra, blending elements of classical and jazz music. Gershwin, a musical genius born into a Russian-Jewish immigrant family in Brooklyn, New York, wrote numerous jazz standards during his lifetime. "Rhapsody in Blue" stands as one of his most renowned compositions, marking a pivotal moment in the jazz era and establishing Gershwin as a globally acclaimed composer, ushering in a new era in American music history.
