This exciting album is the third release in the Silva Classics' Christmas Choral Classics series featuring the Crouch End Festival Chorus and The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of David Temple. The songs superb new vocal and musical arrangements were penned by Evan Jolly, Paul Bateman and Paul Campbell. Following on the success of Christmas Choral Classics and The Greatest Christmas Choral Classics, the updated release features both Christmas favorites and contemporary songs that have, over the years, become part of the festivities (Fairytale Of New York, Hallelujah and Perfect Day).

Thirty years ago, David Temple stood outside a supermarket in Crouch End, North London, handing out leaflets to encourage singers to join an amateur choir.Just over ten years later, he was celebrating the first of a succession of Top 20 Billboard US Album entries as music director and joint founder of Crouch End Festival Chorus.

The internationally-recognized choir is one of the UK's leading symphony choruses, praised for its effortless adaptability to perform both classical and contemporary works, ranging from John Adams and Philip Glass to Monteverdi and Mozart. Its performances and collaborations cover the full spectrum of music including Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, Ray Davies (The Kinks), Oasis, Noel Gallagher's Flying Birds, Robert Fripp, Katherine Jenkins, Alfie Boe, Jose Carreras, Lesley Garrett and Murray Gold's Doctor Who. Today, the Crouch End Festival Chorus boasts world renowned musical figures as patrons, including Bryn Terfel CBE, Ray Davies CBE, Sir Mark Elder CBE, Noel Gallagher and Ennio Morricone.
