The Scent of Light

Ottmar Liebert & Luna Negra - release their first new recordings since the award winning 2004 outing "La Semana. The Scent of Light available on CD through Burnside Distribution and as digital music files, via IODA Digital Distribution, on iTunes, amazon, emusic, Rhapsody etc. was recorded between Spring of 2005 and Spring of 2008. Ottmar says: "I figured 'One Guitar' was as minimalist as can be, 'Up Close' was the most minimalist one can be with a band (no overdubs, no editing etc.) and it was time to make the image large again. This album has a big sound and reminds me of The Hours between Night & Day which was recorded in Santa Barbara in 1993."

Winter Rose

Ottmar Liebert has put a fresh bloom on an inspiring collection of traditional, non-traditional, and new songs in his latest CD, the appropriately titled "Winter Rose." Liebert breathes new life into holiday favorites with sensitive, arrangements of O Little Town of Bethlehem and O Holy Night. The CD also includes fresh interpretations of rarely heard Holiday songs, including Les Roses D'Isphahan and Tchaikovsky's Le Cafe

Sante Fe, New Mexico - Stepping outside the creative box, Ottmar Liebert delivers something different on his new release Petals On The Path. POP' goes Ottmar Liebert, on this project where he straddles genres, pairs down to a trio format and, as always, delivers masterful guitar work. Evocative, moving and fresh Petals On The Path' will be will be available in three formats: CD from conventional and online retailers, via Burnside Distribution; Mp3  from the usual download stores (iTunes, Amazon etc.) as well as from Liebert's Listening Lounge'In Addition, audiophile fans can buy and download high definition 24bit/88.2KHz files from HDTracks.com, and Ottmar's label SSRI will also sell a special double CD package that contains the files in FLAC form. This HD FLAC package will be a very limited run and will only be available from his website and at concerts.
