The Manhattan Transfer set for Bermuda Festival before heading to Australia / Noise11

Tim Hauser started Manhattan Transfer in New York City in 1969. The second edition of the band, the one we have today, formed in 1972. Hauser died in 2014. From the 1972 edition Alan Paul and Janis Seagal are still very much part of the band. Cheryl Bentyne, who joined in 1979 is also in Manhattan Transfer and coming to Australia for the tour. Manhattan Transfer had a number of hit songs in Australia starting with ‘Chanson D'Amour' (no 9, 1976), ‘Where Did Our Love Go' (no 27, 1978), ‘Twilight Zone' (no 28, 1980), ‘Trickle Trickle' (no 25, 1981) and ‘The Boy From New York City' (no 36, 1981).

Manhattan Transfer will tour Australia for Abstract Entertainment.
